Mr. Ch. Sanyasi Raju (58), a retired employee of the APSRTC, relates his experience of the Divinity of Bhagavan in his own words.

'Though I had been hearing about Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba from members of my brother's family for a long time, I had not taken seriously.

In February 2001, I was admitted in the King George Hospital, Vizag and was treated for heart enlargement. I was discharged and advised rest. The Department was favourable to give me retirement on medical grounds but I wanted to continue in service. Unfortunately, I was all right for a fortnight before my health deteriorated again bringing me back to the hospital. When this happened a few times, the KGH people referred me to the NIMS, Hyderabad. I was advised complete rest there also.

On the advice of a devotee of Baba, I came to Prasanthi Nilayam in August 2001. On the day of arrival, I had Darshan from a distance. On the 2nd day Swami came near me, looked at me and left blessing me. Till then, I could not eat anything as I used to vomit after any intake of food. On that day soon after bhajan, I felt so hungry that I ate well. There was no vomiting sensation. When I walked a little, I used to get breathlessness. But now I felt normal. I had a feeling that after Baba had looked at me; I became 60% normal. Though I was feeling normal, Doctors at Puttaparthi told me that I had to take medicines, as my situation was bad. But I left everything to Bhagavan and continued in service. I had no problem whatsoever and retired in the normal course in July 2004.

In August 2004, I had a check up at the SSSIHMS, Puttaparthi. They said my heart was normal. I as well as my family members developed faith in Bhagavan and, in token of my gratitude, I came for seva now.'
