Mr. G. Doovasula Naidu (78), an agriculturist hailing from chittoor District, relates his experience of the Divinity of Bhagavan in his own words.

'I come from a small farmer's family. I could not pursue education due to ill health. I have remained a bachelor. My sister happens to be a devotee of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai. She disposed off her landed property and decided to settle down in Puttaparthi. My people asked me to go over to Puttaparthi with her to keep company, as it would be difficult for a woman to live alone in a new place without male support. So I came here.

When we walked into Prasanthi Nilayam from Gopuram Road for the first time, Swami was giving His Divine Discourse. A few days earlier Neil Armstrong became the first humanbeing to set foot on moon. Swami's Discourse was full of references to Chandramandalam. I do not remember the date or year on which I came to Puttaparthi for the first time except that it was the year in which this great event in space research took place. That was also my first darshan of Bhagavan.

In those days, I was suffering from poor health. One day Bhagavan called me for an interview. During the interview, I told Bhagavan about my poor health. 'Take this along with water for 40 days', Swami told me giving me a few packets of vibhuti prasadam, 'it (the ill-health) won't bother you'.

I took vibhuti prasadam accordingly. I do not say that I have been cured of my ailment but as Swami said, 'it has not bothered me since'.

After a few years, I happened to visit our rice mill in Karkampalle (Chittoor District). I took the book 'Sathyam, Sivam, Sundaram by N. Kasturi and began reading it there. As I was going through it, I think, I fell into, what I recall as, a dazed state. Suddenly, I saw a bluish radiance filling up the sky. It was brilliant the like of which I have not seen since. Within that bluish aura, I clearly saw Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. It lasted for a couple of minutes. I cannot forget that vision which gives me immense happiness whenever I recollect it.'
