Mr. K. Viswanth, a businessman, narrates a few of his experiences of the Divinity of Bhagavan in his own words.

'My parents visited Prasanthi Nilayam in 1974. I came with them. That was my first visit. I had darshan of Bhagavan for the first time. It was Swami's Birthday time.

Later, many miracles used to occur in the house of Repakula Kishtayya at Dharmavaram. We used to hear about them as he was the younger brother of my grandfather, but I had no opportunity to go to Dharmavaram and witness them.

In 1981, I had an attack of cancer in rectum. I was admitted in the Institute of Cancer at Adayar, Madras. The Head of the Institute took pity on me as I was very young.

He instructed the hospital to give radium treatment to me. Meanwhile he had to go abroad. He told them to give me the therapy till his return. After a few days, I had side effects but the doctors did not stop the therapy. Then I developed diarrhoea. But even then they did not stop giving the radium treatment.

One of my co-patients was an aged person. 'I had cancer about 20 years ago' he told me, 'and I could not afford any treatment. Some people told me to see Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba at Kavali where He was expected to address public on a particular day. I went there. I was far away from the dais but could see Him clearly. While addressing people, He raised His hand in Abhaya mudra. I felt that He was gesturing to me. Perhaps, everyone in the gathering might have felt the same. After I returned, I realised that my cancer stopped troubling me. I got myself checked up. My cancer disappeared. I became a devotee.'

I, too, began to pray to Him. That day my diarrhoea became severe. I thought I would die that night. I was very weak. But the doctors continued the treatment without paying any heed to my protests. That night I prayed to Bhagavan and surrendered to Him. At 3 a.m. I was sitting in the bed as I could not sleep because of my frequent watery motions. Suddenly, I saw the Head of the Institute coming to me. He was abroad and was not expected till the next week.

He unexpectedly returned ahead of schedule. He gave me some tablets. That night I had no motions and slept well.

Later, I underwent surgery. Doctors told my people that I had no hope of survival. I was not informed. I was praying to Bhagavan and taking vibhuti. I recovered completely to the wonder of my doctors and relatives.

During that period my sister, Mrs. Santhamma came to Prasanthi Nilayam. Swami called the doctors that had come for a medical camp, for interview. She being the wife of a doctor could go in. When she was about to ask Swami regarding my illness, Swami told her even before she opened her mouth, 'I saw him. He is all right. No worry.' So saying, He materialized vibhuti for me. When I got vibhuti from my sister and heard what Swami had said, the secret of my miraculous recovery was confirmed as Swami's grace beyond doubt.

Ever since I have been coming for seva. In November 1989, Swami came to me when I was in the line with other sevadal. At that time, I was in financial difficulties. I wanted to ask Swami when He came to me, but could not open my mouth. Swami went a few paces ahead and turned back looking at me enquiringly. He came back to me and blessed me by placing His hand on my head when I felt tremendous bliss. That feeling was there till that evening bhajan. After that, my business improved well and my financial problems left me.

I have no children. So I wanted to adopt a destitute child. I sat before Swami's photograph in my house seeking His approval in meditation. After a while I felt that Swami had blessed the proposal. So I adopted her. She is coming up well and studying well.

In 1990, in my house, I sat for bhajan. There was no one except me. After bhajan, I offered a little candy to Bhagavan as naivedyam. When I got up, a few handfuls of candy fell before me from my lap mysteriously. I was happy that Bhagavan had come and attended the bhajan though I did it alone.

Amrit came on the photograph of Swami in the house of my brother Mr. Narayana Swamy in Pamidi. In February 2006, I went there and even tasted a little of it. It happened in that house three times.'
