Mr. M.H. Kunder (65), a social worker, relates a few of his experiences of the Divinity of Bhagavan in his own words.

'It is in 1966 that I first heard of Bhagavan Sri Satya Sai Baba from one of my friends. After a few days, I saw a news item about Bhagavan's arrival in Mumbai. I decided to attend the meeting at Dharmakshetra. That is the first time I had His darshan. At once I realized that my quest for a true teacher had succeeded. But somehow there was a long break, and I could not go for His darshan again.

In 1994, one of my close relatives fell seriously ill. All tests were conducted, but they could not detect the actual cause of the problem. Therefore the doctors decided to go in for brain surgery, and gave a date also. Then I thought of the Doctor of doctors, Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba and took the patient to Prasanthi Nilayam. We stayed there for three days and had darshan. One day, Swami looked at the patient and smiled. Afterwards we returned to Mumbai as the date for surgery was nearing.

On return, we admitted the patient in the Jaslok Hospital for brain surgery. They had taken all tests once again including the C.T. Scan. The results were amazing. All test reports showed normal. There was no problem whatsoever, particularly with the brain. It was completely normal.

'No! Something is wrong', the doctor said in disbelief, `let us do the scanning once again.' They did, but with the same result. Meanwhile the patient began to behave normally. Limbs impaired earlier did not show any sign whatsoever of any fault or problem. The patient became quite healthy in all respects without a trace of any disease.' What happened?' the doctors asked us in bewilderment, 'have you used any medicine?'

'We have not used any medicine at all', we replied, 'all that we did was to take her for the darshan of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.'

Afterwards, the patient got a good job, even received a promotion after putting up meritorious service; she got married and is happy.

I have been attending bhajans regularly in Mumbai ever since. I usually blow conch at the commencement of the bhajan. 'If only I get a similar chance to blow conch before Bhagavan at Prasanthi Nilayam', I used to say whimsically. `How can you?' my friends used to retort, 'there is no convention of blowing conch before a bhajan begins at Prasanthi Nilayam. They do Omkaram.' But still my desire remained.

Today morning, a cultural programme was held here on the auspicious occasion of Ashadi Bhagavath Ekadasi in the Divine presence. I accompanied the performing troupe. I was asked to blow the conch at the commencement of the programme. I sat very near Bhagavan, and blew the conch at the commencement of the programme to my heart's content. It became difficult to fight back the tears of joy welling out of my eyes and to restrain myself from breaking down out of sheer joy at the blissful response of the Lord for my prayer for the opportunity of blowing the conch in His presence, however odd my desire might have looked.'
