Mr. N. Subrahmanyam (48), a devotee of Bhagavan, relates his experiences in his own words.

'After doing my post-graduation (M.A.in Economics), I worked as the warden of Chennapuri Annadana Samajam in Chennai for about ten years from 1986. Our hostel is opposite to Sundaram buildings where Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba came in 1986-87. I had His Darshan there for the first time and participated in bhajan also. Swami used to come to Chennai almost every year in those days. Then I used to have Darshan of Bhagavan almost every year. Though I used to have a desire to visit Puttaparthi, I could not do so for various reasons.

Later in around 1996, I left my job and returned to my village. Members of Sri Sathya Sai Samiti of Gill Nagar, Chennai used to come to our village and celebrate Swami's Birthday every year. In our village also there are some devotees of Swami. I told one of them one day, 'I want to go to Puttaparthi and have Darshan of Swami. But I am unable to do so owing to financial problems'.

He was kind enough to tell me, 'don't worry. Next time I go, you come with me'.

Thus I happened to come to Puttaparthi for the first time in 1999; we had excellent Darshan. After return to the room, I was worried because I had no money at all with me and had to depend on another for every thing. Then a miracle happened. Suddenly, I found a note of Rs.50 denomination on my bed. How did it come there? I asked all those in the room if anyone of them had lost it. They all said, 'no. It is not ours'. Then I thought Swami had gaven it to me in response to my prayer.

We returned to our village. I started some business. By Swami's grace, we have been greatly relieved of our financial problems. Most of my problems in the family and in agriculture have also been solved. There has been all-round improvement in my affairs.

I have been coming for seva from then onwards regularly. I propose to open a small library of publications relating to Swami in our village so that more people can know more and more about the Lord. It is for Bhagavan to fulfill my desire in this respect also as He has been doing in several other respects.'
