Mr. N. Venkatachari (59), an Electrical Engineer, relates a few of his experiences of the Divinity of Bhagavan in his own words.

'I have been a diabetic from 1999. In 2002, I had a cardiac problem also. Off and on I used to get asthma. One day one of my acquaintances, who is a Sai devotee, suggested that I should arrange Sai Bhajan in my house. Though I heard about Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, I did not pay much attention. However, I arranged bhajan in my house. That is how Bhagavan began drawing me into His fold.

When I went for check-up, Doctors suggested cardiac surgery which was very expensive and risky. Meanwhile, I wanted to go and have darshan of Bhagavan. So I came to Prasanthi Nilayam for Sivarathri in 2000. I had darshan and witnessed the function.

I went to the SSSIHMS and underwent check-up. They said 'we have a large waiting list here. Better you continue to take the prescribed medicines'.

After return to Porur, I came to know about Swami's hospital at Whitefield, Bangalore. I went there. They conducted all tests. The result in TMT was positive. They asked me to come again after three months.

I have been praying to Bhagavan to save me from surgery. I followed the prescribed diet and medicines. After three months I went to Whitefield. This time the result in TMT was negative.

'You are all right by Bhagavan's grace' Doctors told me, 'you don't need surgery. You can return to your place and continue to take the prescribed drugs and diet'.

'When should I come again?' I asked.

'No need to come' they said, 'you are all right'. This was in 2003.

By Swami's grace, I think I had a rebirth. I am able to attend to all my work normally. I have been coming for seva. This is the seventh time for me to come here for seva.'
