Mrs. G. Anita (45), a housewife, relates a few of her experiences of the Divinity of Bhagavan in her own words.

'I had a dream in 1993 in which Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba appeared. 'By the time I woke you up, I feel weak and tired', Swami told me pretending exasperation. He gave me Padanamaskar. He used to appear in my dreams since then. Sometimes He used to ask me to cook dishes of His choice and eat them in the dream. Sometimes, He used to spend all the time with me, as long as my dream lasted.

When my father passed away, Swami said, 'I am your real father'. Since then He has been moving with me in astral plane, and talking to me while I attend to my household work. Such has been my experience. When I told my sister, Mrs. Sarojini in the beginning, about it, she told me, 'write down whatever Swami tells you. Don't leave anything, after hearing'. So I began to record whatever Swami was telling me. He used to tell me several spiritual matters. I could not follow sometimes, and requested my brother-in-law, Mr. Vijaya Babu to explain the meaning of Swami's words. Swami once conveyed to me through the grandson of my sister that I was unable to recognize Him even though He was appearing to me and talking to me. Swami advised me to do sadhana. But I did not know what sadhana is.

In 1995, I came to Prasanthi Nilayam along with a large group of devotees brought by my brother-in-law in buses. Swami gave all of us Padanamaskar. That was my first visit to Prasanthi Nilayam.

One day I began to meditate even though I had no idea about what meditation was. I saw incandescence while in meditation. One jyothi (flame) came out of my forehead, made rounds around my body and entered me through my forehead. Swami explained to me in the astral plane, 'it is called jyothi dhyanam'.

In 1998, Swami appeared to me in meditation and made me worship Shirdi Sai Baba. He also gave me a mantra. When I mentioned this to my brother-in-law, he told me, 'it is Gayathri mantra. Swami is your Guru'. I have started doing japa of Gayathri since then.

In 1999, we went to Prasanthi Nilayam again. I bought a Photograph of Swami there. When I was meditating sitting before that Photograph, Swami appeared for some time. Then He disappeared, and a sort of peculiar light engulfed me filling my body also with light. As I was searching for Swami, He told me, 'you are looking at my real form. Why do you crave to see my body?'

One day, during meditation, I found that my body was full of light. Then, from me, the light went out and merged in the boundless expanse of light of Swami's body. Swami told me, 'your soul's radiance merged in my boundless light'. Then I experienced a state of peace and tranquillity.

After this, one day Swami told me, 'get up! Hiss! You awaken your energies and tap your full potential. This is my order. Guru shows the way but does not extend his hand'. He also told me, 'all your nerves are now clean. You have to awaken yourself'.

Next day, Swami told me, 'your awakened soul has got separated from you. This is turiyavastha. You can experience satchidananda as your own incandescence in this state.

He who without selfishness and He who controls his senses is the Brahman, with no second!'

One day in the year 2000, I was doing Aumkar. Swami gave me Darshan as a linga covered with ice. Much heat emanated on the right side of my body at that time.

Next day, while I was in meditation, Swami appeared. He told me, 'take the support of nama, and meditate upon the energy awakened in you'. He laid His hand on me and, after a while, turned into Shakti. He split my head into two, and did some correction looking in. He joined both parts of my head and put His hand again on my head. After that He sat in front of me, as Mother.

Next day, he made me meditate during midnight. I began reciting mantras worshipping Swami limb by limb. I felt stomachache. 'Don't be afraid', Swami told me, 'it is not stomachache. Goddess Saraswati is dancing inside you. How could you recite all those mantras now but for that?'

He added, 'the light of your soul merged in me. What resides now in you is only paramjyothi. Till it is merged in me, I am your prisoner'. One day Swami made me perform the worship of Vinayaka; on another day the worship of Goddess Durga; and on another day of Dattatreya. All this was done during meditation.

My son fell down one day while playing in the ground. His leg was hanging from his thigh joint. He was taken to the hospital and was advised surgery - not once, but twice. I felt anxious and prayed to Swami, 'you have cured many ailments without any surgery. Why not cure my son?' Swami agreed. He showed me in my meditation that He had performed surgery on my son and asked me to heal the wound by my power. I complied with His direction. My son's leg healed completely without physical surgery by any surgeon. Swami then taught me, 'atma suddhi yoga' to cure ailments.

Once we took padukas to Prasanthi Nilayam. Swami blessed them during Darshan on the third day. Next day, I went into meditation during Darshan looking at Swami. Swami disappeared, forming great mass of light. Then Swami told me, 'this is my real form. I am self-illuminating. You all are rays emanating from me. I sent you with incandescence, but you cover yourself with ignorance and lose your radiance'.

After a few days, Swami told me, 'eat once a day, enough'. Since then I have been taking food only once, that too, before 1 p.m.

Swami began dictating messages to me, and I wrote them down. Owing to His grace, some of them appeared in book form entitled 'Jnana Ratnakaram' in Telugu. (Ratnakaram means ocean; it is also the family name of Swami.)'
