Ms. N. Annapurna (40), working in SSSIHMS (Super Specialties Hospital) at Prasanthigram, relates her experiences of the Divinity of Bhagavan in her own words.

'I was a student of Swami's college for women at Anantapur. I was selected to work in the SSSIHMS. At that time it was still under construction. We were sent for training to Bangalore. We were treated there literally like royal guests not just as trainees because Swami told Mr. Ratanlal at the time of sending us there, 'My children are coming to Bangalore; look after them well'.

One night we were sleeping in a hall; suddenly the ceiling fan got detached and fell down with a thud. I woke up and looked at my companions sleeping along with me. I thought they must have lost consciousness as the falling fan hit them. Slowly, I got up and looked where the fan had fallen. It fell exactly in the middle of two beds. It was a fan with four blades. Two of them fell along with the central round piece in the middle. The other two blades, which should have hit those on the beds on either side, were seen bent vertically. It was like a four petalled flower - with only two petals on opposite sides in bloom. None of us was harmed at all.

Next morning we all sat for Darshan at Brindavan. As Swami was coming along Darshan lines we tried to attract the kind attention of Swami by entreating Him, 'Look! Swami! Look at us!' Swami came near us, smiled and said, 'what look, look Swami? Had I not looked, you all would have been chutneyed yesterday night!' We all wanted to tell Swami how the fan's blades had twisted upwards so as not to hurt us, but Swami pre-empted us! He is the doer. He knows all.

Around 1991, I was down with some illness. Whatever I ate, I had to vomit. I became very weak. I was admitted in the Super Specialties Hospital, Prasanthigram. My father, Mr. Swami Sastry told Swami about my ill health during Darshan, 'Swami, my daughter has fever', he mumbled. 'Fever!' Swami exclaimed, 'where?' My father was at a loss to answer that query. Where would the fever be? Swami continued, 'is it in the head, hands or…?' 'In the stomach Swami!' my father replied. 'Ayyo paapam' (alas!) Swami remarked and materialized vibhuti, 'give her', Swami said. My father gave up bhajan etc and rushed to me with the vibhuti prasadam. I took it. My illness, which did not abate after 15 days of treatment in the hospital, came under control, and I recovered well with the grace of Swami.'
