Mr. R.Natarjao (62), a Para Medical professional from Malaysia, relates how Bhagavan responded to community prayer and yajna with objectives above self.

'Owing to Swami's grace, I am fortunate to have been associated with Sri Sathya Sai Centre, Bangsar, in Malaysia.

During 2000, there was severe drought in Kuala Lumpur and its surroundings. Dr. Suresh Govind, a Sai devotee, suggested that a group of Sai devotees should do Bhajan in the catchment area seeking Bhagavan's intervention for rains. But that could not be done for various reasons.

Instead uncle T.C.Natarajah (who passed away recently), a Sai Devotee who was reputed to be endowed with intuitive powers, wanted us to perform Yajna and Community prayer for rains. This Yajna could be held in the centre itself, he pointed out. Brother Jagadisan, a prominent Sai devotee & organizer, and others supported it. So we all joined together and began performing Yajna to invoke Bhagavan's blessings and to ingratiate Varuna, the Lord of aqua (water). Brother Jagadisan's faith in Bhagavan was so ardent that he even invited the Press (media) to cover the Yajna.

My wife, Mrs. Prema, and I were, fortunately, among the four or five senior couples among our members that were given the opportunity to sit around the Yajna-kunda (pit of sacrifice) and perform the Yajna at Sri Sathya Sai Baba Centre, Bangsar. The Yajna was supposed to go on till it rained. When the Yajna commenced, there was no trace of clouds. But in less than an hour it began to rain cats and dogs. Kuala Lumpur and its surroundings had not had such heavy downpour in the past few years. The Press carried reports about Sai devotees' prayer bringing rain to the drought-stricken land.

All this shows the love and compassion of Bhagavan towards his devotees on one hand and those that needed help by way of rain on the other. It was my good fortune that, due to His grace, I was instrumental as the Chairman of the Centre, being in the thick of the scene that demonstrated the power and glory of Bhagavan in no uncertain terms.'
